I was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and moved to London on my own for university. I wasn’t quite sure who I was or where I was heading but I knew I was determined to make it work. My parents built a life through hard work and quiet sacrifice. Watching their resilience shaped how I see the world and gave me deep respect for those who take risks without much support and keep going anyway.
Over the first few years in London, I learned to adapt quickly, figure things out and keep moving even when nothing felt certain. That mindset still shapes how I support founders today. It’s something I’ve carried through years of working closely with early-stage founders.
Growing up in Southeast Asia, climate change was never too far away - it showed up in floods, water shortages and months of thick haze from burning season. That early exposure made climate feel personal and urgent and it’s what draws me to the intersection of climate, nature and technology.
At Systemiq Capital, I focus on supporting founders building climate solutions - whether it’s electrification, AI or bio-intelligence. I am especially excited by ideas that reimagine how we live with and learn from nature, and by the people bold enough to build them.
