Louis Millon

I’ve always been fascinated by the potential for science and our understanding of the world around us to translate into technologies that improve living conditions for billions of people. So I studied physics, and eventually trained as an engineer with a focus on machine learning and operations research, which leverages maths and large quantities of data to identify bottlenecks and optimize production (somewhat soothing my borderline-OCD aversion for inefficiencies and waste). 

After graduation, I co-founded a start-up in retail tech, Occi, which analyzed shopper behavior across retail channels (online and in-store) to identify missed sales opportunities. I ran the product and technical teams for 4 years, trying (unsuccessfully) to get a slow-moving, conservative, analog industry to adopt new tech solutions.

After shutting down this first venture, my co-founder and I immediately founded WeWard, a mobility app that shifts user behavior towards more sustainable and healthy habits with now 3 million daily active users. 

Sitting today on the other side of the table, I’m passionate about backing and working with the exceptional founders who are building the data-driven, AI-enabled tools that can not only optimize the performance of assets around us (e.g. fleets, buildings, industrial plants, etc.) as they electrify and become smarter, but drive also unlock entirely new capabilities.
